The 2019 YA Spreadsheet

Access The 2019 YA Spreadsheet

There are a lot of YA books releasing next year, and it can be hard to keep track. Luckily, I determined that having a full on list was super helpful for collection development at my library, and so I put together this list. It’s an ongoing process, as release dates and summaries get updated, and as books get announced…

But here’s what it looks like right now:

So let’s chat for a moment about this, shall we?

All the titles are linked to the book’s Goodreads page. Most genres are taken from the Goodreads genre except for when I can tell from summary that it’s something different/more specific. Contemporary with a plus sign after it (under genre) means that it’s mostly realistic but there’s a tiny bit of speculative-ness to it (i.e. They Both Die at the End or The Astonishing Color of After).

How often am I updating? Well, the goal is once a week, we’ll see how that goes. If you notice something that is missing, please send it my way via my google form. Please note that due to the fact this was created for collection development purposes, I am only adding self-published works if they are available for library ordering through Baker and Taylor.

If you’re an author who has a book on this list and has a pre-order campaign, please add it here if it isn’t already noted.

2019 Releases I’ve Read and Adored

In terms of the final tab, if you know I’ve read a 2019 book that isn’t on here, it doesn’t mean I didn’t like/love it or that I won’t recommend it. It just means it wasn’t something I’m flailing about.
